Yitzhak Rabin, the former Israeli Prime Minister and corecipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994, was indeed tragically assassinated on November 4, 1995. He was attending a peace rally in Tel Aviv when he was shot and killed by a Jewish extremist named Yigal Amir.

Gyanvapi case: SC declines to intervene in Allahabad HC order
The Supreme Court has declined to entertain an appeal filed against an order issued by the Allahabad Chief Justice, Pritinker Diwaker, which withdrew petitions related to Hindu claims over the Gyanvapi mosque premises from the High Court judge who was initially hearing them.

Cauvery Authority ratifies CWRC’s decision on release of water to Tamil Nadu
The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) approved the decision of the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) to instruct Karnataka to release 2,600 cubic feet per second (cusecs) of water to Tamil Nadu until November 23. This ratification means that the upper riparian State, Karnataka, is required to release a total of 5.17 thousand million cubic feet (tmc ft) of water to Tamil Nadu over the next three weeks.

Lawyers should not seek adjournments unless necessary: CJI
The Supreme Court has faced a significant number of requests for adjournment from lawyers between September 1 and November 3, 3,688 requests in total. This surge in adjournment requests prompted Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud to make a public announcement in the courtroom on Friday, expressing his frustration with the situation and stating that he does not lead a ‘tareekh-pe-tareekh [date after date] court.’
