Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a non-adversarial method of resolving disputes collaboratively. It eases the burden on courts and ensures a satisfying resolution for involved parties. ADR includes Arbitration, where an arbitral tribunal issues a binding decision, and Conciliation, a non-binding process facilitated by a neutral third party. Mediation employs an impartial mediator to help parties reach a mutually agreeable resolution. In India, ADR is crucial due to mounting court cases, emphasizing the need for efficient dispute resolution methods. Mediators require 40 hours of training and a track record of successful mediations to be accredited.
