Cloud computing

Standing Committee on Statistics (SCoS)
The Union Government of India has established a new internal oversight mechanism, the Standing Committee on Statistics (SCoS), to review and improve the framework and results of surveys conducted by the National Statistical Office. The SCoS replaces the Standing Committee on Economic Statistics (SCES) and aims to address data quality issues and fill data gaps. Shri Pronab Sen, the former Chairman of the National Statistical Commission, will chair the new committee.
Nomadic Elephant-23

Coral bleaching
Coral bleaching occurs when there is a breakdown in the symbiotic relationship between corals and their algal symbionts, known as zooxanthellae. When corals experience stress from factors such as high water temperatures, pollution, or changes in water chemistry, they expel the zooxanthellae, resulting in the loss of color and the bleaching of corals.
