Unlike cash rewards, recipients will receive a certificate and medallion. The RVP will comprise three <em>Vigyan Ratna<\/em>, 25 <em>Vigyan Shri<\/em>, 25 <em>Vigyan Yuva<\/em>, three <em>Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar<\/em>, and three <em>Vigyan<\/em> Team awards, spanning various fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and computer science. The proposal stresses inclusivity, aiming for representation of women and diverse domains. The RVP will also be accessible to persons of Indian origin (PIOs) with specific eligibility criteria. The awards will recognize lifetime contributions, distinguished contributions, exceptional contributions by young scientists, and outstanding team efforts. While most prizes have no age limits, the <em>Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar<\/em> award has a maximum age requirement of 45. Announcements will be made on National Technology Day (May 11) and presentations will occur on National Space Day (August 23), commencing in 2024. An expert committee will oversee the awards process, initially administered by CSIR and later transitioning to the National Research Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UNESCO World Heritage Sites<br \/>\n<\/strong>UNESCO World Heritage Sites are globally recognized landmarks or areas chosen for their cultural, historical, scientific, or other significant value, safeguarded by international treaties. These sites symbolize humanity&#8217;s collective achievements and intellectual history. To be selected, sites must already be recognized landmarks and hold unique cultural or physical significance, such as ancient ruins, historical structures, cities, or monuments. Practical conservation efforts are essential to protect them from potential risks like trespassing, uncontrolled access, or administrative neglect. The World Heritage Committee is responsible for choosing and overseeing these sites, managing the World Heritage Fund, and offering financial support. It is composed of 21 states parties elected for a four-year term.
