Many conspiracy theories surround the incident, including that he was poisoned by the CIA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Summary of Today&#8217;s News<\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>Peregrine Lander<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is also known as Peregrine Mission One<\/li>\n<li>It is the first attempt of United States to land on the Moon after 50 years.<\/li>\n<li>By&#8211; NASA and private space enterprises,\u00a0<strong>Astrobotic Technology and United Launch Alliance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Peregrine Lander<\/strong>is expected to be one of the first American spacecraft to land on the Moon<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>since the\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Apollo program<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is expected to touchdown on a\u00a0<strong>mid-latitude region of the Moon called Sinus Viscositatis, or Bay of Stickiness.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>Lakshadweep<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>It is India\u2019s smallest Union Territory in terms of area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an archipelago of 36 coral islands.<\/li>\n<li>Its only 10 islands (Kavaratti, Agatti, Amini, Kadmat, Kiltan, Chetlat, Bitra, Andrott, Kalpeni, and Minicoy) are inhabited\/populated.<\/li>\n<li>Its Southernmost island, <strong>Minicoy<\/strong>, is situated close to the busy <strong>9-degree Channel<\/strong> a critical shipping route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>Drone, Detect, Deter and Destroy (D4 System)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>D4 is the first indigenously developed anti-drone system.<\/li>\n<li>It has been inducted into the Indian Armed Forces, recently.<\/li>\n<li>It has been developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Its key Features<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It can detect, track and identify rouge drones within 4 km range.<\/li>\n<li>D4 system can instantly <strong><u>detect and jam<\/u><\/strong> micro drones (Soft kill) and use a <strong>laser-based kill mechanism<\/strong> to terminate targets (Hard kill).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>ANEEL (Advanced Nuclear Energy for Enriched Life)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>ANEEL is a <u>mix Thorium and Uranium<\/u> with good level of enrichment, that is called HALEU (High Assay Low Enriched Uranium).<\/li>\n<li>It has been developed by an American company<\/li>\n<li>It has been named after India\u2019s scientist, Dr Anil Kakodkar).<\/li>\n<li>HALEU has an enrichment level of 5-20%, whereas most current reactors are enriched up to 5%.<\/li>\n<li>It will help in reduction in nuclear waste etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>Blackfoot language<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lily Gladstone<\/strong>, the first Indigenous best actress winner at the Golden Globes, delivered a speech in the Blackfeet language.<\/li>\n<li>Blackfeet\/Blackfoot is an Algonquian language that predated English and French.<\/li>\n<li>It is spoken in Montana in the US, and in Alberta in Canada by Blackfoot people (i.e., tribes named Piegan, Siksika, and Kainah).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ee6565;\"><strong>Bharatendu Harishchandra (1850-1885)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>He was a poet, writer and reformist.<\/li>\n<li>Promoted and revived the Hindi language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Known as <u>father of \u2018khadi Boli\u2019.<\/u><\/li>\n<li>One of the eras of Hindi literature is also known as Bharatendu Yuga after him.<\/li>\n<li>Wrote under the pen <u>name &#8220;Rasa&#8221;.<\/u><\/li>\n<li>Used publications to shape public opinion during freedom movement.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Journals:<\/u><\/strong> HarishChandra chandrika, <strong>Kavivachan Sudha<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Drama:<\/u><\/strong> <strong>Andher Nagari, Bharat Durdasha, Vaidik Hinsa Hinsa Na Bhavati<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hUFya8YF108\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s in History (January 11th, 1966) In 1966, Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri mysteriously died in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, just a day after signing the peace treaty to end the Indo-Pakistan War.
