                      \u2022 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reaffirmed its forecast of an \u2018above normal\u2019 monsoon for this year, predicting June-September rainfall to be 6% above the normal average of 87 cm.
                      \n\u2022 While northeastern India is expected to receive deficient rainfall, the monsoon ‘core zone’ in central India and southern India are anticipated to experience above-normal rainfall, which is crucial for the kharif crop.
