                      \nKarnataka HC grants parole to fulfil wife\u2019s conjugal right to have children<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

                      \u2022 The High Court of Karnataka has ordered the release of a convict on parole for 30 days, following a petition by his wife. She argued that her conjugal right to have children has been denied. Justice S.R. Krishna Kumar granted the parole in response to the plea from the 31-year-old woman from Kolar district, who married the convict while he was briefly released on parole for their wedding last year.
                      \n\u2022 The court recognized the extraordinary circumstances, including the woman’s desire to have children and her mother-in-law’s ill health. The convict is to be released from June 5 to July 4, with the possibility of extending the parole based on his conduct.<\/p>\n

                      \u2022 Recently, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has transferred 100 metric tonnes of gold from the United Kingdom to domestic vaults in FY24.

                      \n\u2022 It is the gold held by a country\u2019s central bank (RBI in case of India), acting as a backup for financial promises and a store of value.
                      \n\u2022 India, like other nations, stores some of its gold reserves in foreign vaults to spread out risk and facilitate international trading.
                      \n\u2022 India\u2019s total gold holding now stands at 822 metric tonnes in FY24.
                      \n\u2022 India\u2019s gold reserves are primarily stored in the Bank of England, which is known for its stringent security protocols.
                      \n\u2022 The RBI stores a portion of its gold reserves at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in the United States.
