                    Recently, the union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change presented the Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan award 2024 on the occasion of International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies.
                    \nAbout Swachh Vayu Survekshan Award:<\/strong>
                    \n\u2022\tIt is an initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) to rank cities on the basis of implementation of activities approved under the city action plan and air quality in 130 NCAP cities.
                    \n\u2022\tIn September 2022, the MoEF&CC released guidelines on \u2018Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan- Ranking of Cities\u2019 under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
                    \n\u2022\tThe aim of launching Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan is to give a ranking to 130 cities in the country for implementing City Action Plans prepared as part of NCAP for reducing air pollution up to 40% by 2025-26.

                    \nRecently, a Bengaluru based doctor revealed that they saw a surge in Kawasaki disease among children after the devastating second wave of COVID-19.
                    \nAbout Kawasaki Disease:<\/strong>
                    \n\u2022\tIt is also known as Kawasaki syndrome or mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome.
                    \n\u2022\tIt is a rare disease that causes fever and inflammation of the blood vessels, mainly in children under 5 years of age.
                    \n\u2022\tIt is one of the most common forms of acquired heart disease in children.
                    \n\u2022\tThe condition causes the immune system to attack blood vessels, which become inflamed and swollen.
                    \n\u2022\tIt tends to affect the coronary arteries, which carry blood to the heart muscle. It can also cause problems with lymph nodes, skin, and the lining of a child’s mouth, nose, and throat.
                    \nSymptoms:<\/strong>
                    \n\u2022 Clinical signs include fever, rash, swelling of the hands and feet, irritation and redness of the whites of the eyes, swollen lymph glands in the neck, and irritation and inflammation of the mouth, lips, and throat.
                    \n\u2022\tThe disease was first described in Japan by Tomisaku Kawasaki in 1967, and the first cases outside of Japan were reported in Hawaii in 1976.
                    \n\u2022\tThe cause of Kawasaki disease is unknown, although more cases happen in late winter and early spring. <\/p>\n
