            Militants gun down 7 in Kashmir, another attack after elections in J&K<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

            On Sunday evening, militants attacked a construction site in Ganderbal, central Kashmir, killing seven civilians – six workers from outside the Union Territory and a local doctor \u00b9. The gunmen opened fire indiscriminately near the camp site of a private company in the Gangangeer area, where the strategic Z-Morh tunnel and a highway are being constructed. The victims were identified as Gurmeet Singh, Dr. Shahnawaz, Anil Kumar Shukla, Faheem Nazir, Shashi Abrol, Mohd Hanief, and Kaleem.
            \nThe attack was widely condemned by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and other leaders \u00b9. They assured that those behind the attack will not go unpunished and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. This attack comes two days after a non-local worker was killed in south Kashmir’s Shopian. Security forces cordoned off the area, and senior police officers are investigating the incident.<\/p>\n
