The day was chosen by the Second International at its congress in Paris in 1889.<\/p>\n

Mann Ki Baat <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, a radio program hosted by the Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi<\/em>, focused on the preservation and promotion of education and culture. It was first aired on October 3, 2014, and provides an opportunity for the Prime Minister to address the nation and share his thoughts on various issues of national importance. The program airs on the last Sunday of every month and is broadcasted on All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan<\/em>, and other channels.<\/p>\n

Ding Liren<\/em><\/strong> crowned World Chess Champion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ding Liren<\/em> from China defeated Ian Nepomniachtchi<\/em> of Russia to be the new world chess champion for 2023. He is the first person from China to become World Chess Champion in Open Category. Currently, China holds the World Chess Champion in both men and women category. Ju Wenjun from China is the incumbent Women World Chess Champion.<\/p>\n

Satwik-Chirag<\/em><\/strong> won Badminton Asia Championships 2023. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy<\/em> and Chirag Shetty<\/em> became the first Indians after Dinesh Khanna to win the Badminton Asia Championships 2023 held in Dubai. Earlier, the duo had won the bronze medal in the 2022 World Badminton Championships and gold in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n
