Dimasa rebel group sign peace pact.
The Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) signed a peace agreement with the State Government of Assam and the Union Government in the presence of the Union Home Minister, Sri Amit Shah. The DNLA have agreed to give up violence, surrender of arms and ammunition, disband their arms and give up violence. The agreement will bring complete end to the insurgency in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
Central Government de-recognises 2 postal unions.
The Union Ministry of Communication has derecognized the All-India Postal Employees Union and the National Federation of Postal Employees for making contributions to the farmers protests and the Centre of Trade Unions, and for buying books from the CPI (M) Delhi office. The decision was based on the Central Civil Services (Recognition of Service Association) Rules, 1993, and considering complaints by the Bhartiya Postal Employees Association.
India sends third ship INS Tarkash to Sudan.
India has sent third ship INS Tarkash to Sudan to evacuate stranded Indians from Sudan. Under Operation Kaveri, India stationed INS Sumedha and INS Teg at Port Sudan earlier. The ships are being used to ferry stranded Indians from Port Sudan to the Saudi port to Jeddah, and then flown to India. Two sorties of C-130J brought in 121 and 135 passengers, respectively.
Indian Army to raise cyber operations and support wings.
The Army Commanders Conference has decided to raise Command Cyber Operations and Support Wings (CCOSW) in the immediate future with current focus on Net-centric operations, convert the five-year Technical Entry Scheme to four years, train motivated soldiers for Paralympic events, and double the sustenance allowance to specially-abled children of personnel killed in the line of duty through the Army General Insurance Fund.

India was ranked 38th among 139 countries in the Logistic Performance Index, 2023, released by the World Bank. India was ranked 44th in the Logistic Performance Index, 2018. It helps countries to identify challenges and opportunities to improve logistic performance in trade.
